Epstein Rotational Hitting Team Instruction
The Epstein Rotary Team Clinics meet for a minimum of 7 - 1 hour sessions. The first lesson we video tape and create a V1 video locker for all participants. We start by removing all style (style: any movement that does not contribute to contact, quickness, balance, sequence, and timing) We then introduce drills that enhance proper sequence, once drills are mastered we train hitters with:
Jugs Small Ball
Flat Bats
SwingAway Hitting Machine
Soft Toss
Fast pitch
Iron Mike Pitching Machine
Students will also be introduced to the mental game of hitting:
Know Thyself - Strength and Weakness
The Type of Hitter you are - singles-contact, line-drive/gap, or pure power
Hitting Count
Working Pitchers
Mental Preparation
Fear of Failure
