The Epstein Rotary Hitting Clinic meet 6 times, the program is 6 hours long. The first lesson we video tape and create a V1 video locker. We start by removing all style (style: any movement that does not contribute to quickness, balance, sequence, and timing) We then introduce drills that enhance proper sequence, once drills are mastered we train hitters with:
Jugs Small Ball
Flat Bats
SwingAway Hitting Machine
Soft Toss
Fast pitch
Iron Mike Pitching Machine
Students will also be introduced to the mental game of hitting:
Know Thyself - Strength and Weakness
The Type of Hitter you are - singles-contact, line-drive/gap, pure power
